There are unsupported rumours Hilda was hatched from a dinosaur egg and raised by a fairy under a linden tree in central Normandy. As a kid she was deeply impressed by music and paintings from the classical era which led her to higher education and a diploma from L'Ecole des Beaux Arts de Rouen in 1990.

While in college at Rouen Hilda bought a 4 track recorder, set it up in her kitchen and fifteen minutes later had recorded "Stood Again Upside the Mountain" (1987), her first song. It's but a few seconds long and is featured along with four other songs from that time on Steeple Remove's 1997 album "The Importance of Being Steeple Remove" (Sordid Sentimental label).

In 1996, having recorded kilometres of experimental tapes while making paintings and scupltures, Hilda went off on another take altogether and made her first album, Energectible Bit Flower.

In 1998, dressed all in black at Pallisades Park on the Pacific ocean in Santa Monica, California, she married composer William Webster-Garman. Instead of a ring he gave her a laptop and they formed the band Technophonix.

Since 1999 Hilda Garman has been producing hauntingly dreamy electro pop trance on her own and a few 3D animated video clips to go with it.

Her latest album "Hypnofleur" is now available on the Falling A label. She dreams of making tracks that'll melt in your mouth like ice cream and send you soaring to heights of happiness.
